Amy Sink, CEO at Interra Credit Union, joined us in the Studio Lounge to discuss the real cost of convenience -- especially when it comes to immediate payments -- and how her credit union's use of Prizeout flipped that cost on its head. A happy ending to this costly tale of having faster payments today.

In particular, Amy talked about, yes, it's important to have faster payments -- but at what cost? She, subsequently, shared the challenges of faster payments and the impact of apps like Venmo have on traditional banking. She added that Prizeout's solution (rewards with instant cashback) enhances member engagement through cashback programs.

Steven Stapp, President/CEO at Unitus Community Credit Union, stopped by the Studio Lounge just after his credit union received the 2024 John Pembroke Catalyst for Change award for their dedication and deep commitment to DEI across all facets of their operations.

According to the CUES press release, Unitus has demonstrated exceptional leadership in embedding DEI principles throughout its operations. Their comprehensive DEI Action Plan serves as a cornerstone of their strategic planning, ensuring that DEI is not just an initiative, but a core value that drives the organization forward. What sets Unitus apart is the way their efforts were shaped by the feedback and commitment of their employees, who championed greater inclusivity and equity well before the events of 2020 brought national attention to these issues.

Steven shared many of the DEI-focused programs the credit union has implemented over the years that keeps them at the forefront of this movement.

In addition, Steven talked about the credit union's “Unitus Social Responsibility Commitments" for the upcoming year, which, for its past commitments, led it to win the Catalyst for Change award this year.
