In this episode we are happy to have CU Times Editor-in-Chief Sarah Cooke return to discuss the magazine's new recognition program called "Trailblazers 40 Below". This program is an offshoot of CU Times' original Trailblazers Awards it announces at each GAC. It recognizes credit union staffers under the age of 40 who are doing a stellar job with their credit union while being an outstanding ambassador for the industry. Check out this latest episode as Sarah gives us the inside scoop on candidate nominations -- many of whom will be announced at next week's CO-OP THINK Conference in Anaheim, CA.

The Members Group's Executive VP Jeff Russell is back on CUbroadcast to provide us with an update on web-based payments provider Dwolla and its impact on credit unions already. We also discuss the latest trends in payments, which is always interesting. And, last, we touch on Jeff's new blog entitled "Plan B Philosophy". He gives us the background story on Plan B with a few anecdotes from recent posts. Always good to have Jeff on the show, as he provides great insight to the industry and where it's headed. Enjoy the program! (And pardon the sketchy Skype connection on this episode. It's not bad, but it has a few glitchy moments.)

Children's Miracle Network Hospitals' President/CEO John Lauck discusses CU's impressive philanthropy efforts...
We have a "feel good," philanthropic show for you today with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals' President and CEO John Lauck. It was a pleasure having John on the show as he discussed how credit unions have really stepped up in the philanthropy department -- even during the recession the past few years. In fact credit unions are the third largest donator to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals behind two very large corporations: WalMart and Costco. Well done! We also touched on his organization's association with Credit Unions for Kids and how much money was raised following the recent Credit Union Cherry Blossom Run in Washington, D.C. A very inspiring conversation for a great cause. Enjoy the program!
