These stories are almost always bittersweet -- when somebody leaves/retires from their job, it's sad. But knowing they're onto more exciting endeavors in the next chapter of their life is exciting. And this is exactly what's happening to VISA's Doug Leighton, who is leaving VISA after more than 20 years as of June 1, 2021.

So we invited Doug to come on the show to share this big news, as well as the equally affable and talented Celeste Schwitters filling his role at which she will definitely excel working with credit unions as Head of Community Accounts.

Both Celeste and Doug discuss the role of Head of Community Accounts, working with credit unions and fostering all those great relationships initiated over the years.

In addition, we also talked about how payments has evolved and will continue to evolve due to the pandemic and what the next few years look like -- and how credit unions should be preparing for these continuous changes.

BTW: VISA has launched a new website called VISA Navigate, which tracks the world's payments trends. Looks like a great resource for a fast-moving sector.

Payrailz VP of Product Management Gereen Langmeyer and Dover Federal Credit Union CIO Travis Frey joined us on the show to share their story on how Dover Federal Credit Union and Payrailz collaborating to provide members with real-time payments experience.

Gereen and Travis talked about what prompted the credit union to provide its membership with real-time payments experience, how they worked together to create this solution, the resulting benefits -- so far, and a before-and-after look at this process.

Bonifii’s President/CEO John Ainsworth and Illuma Labs’ Founder/CEO Milind Borkar joined us on the show to
clear up confusion that Illuma Labs and Bonifii are direct competitors in the credit union space.

Both John and Milind share how their companies' technology solutions benefit credit unions without overlapping, enhancing the member experience while reducing the threat of fraud.
