South Bay Credit Union President/CEO Jennifer Oliver and Board Chair Chris Otey visited the Studio Lounge to discuss successful working strategies between CEO and Board Chair. Specifically, they talked about the decision-making process for new projects -- such as their new pop-up branch that opened in a WeWork-type office environment (episode #1024).
Jennifer and Chris both stressed on having a "fail forward fast" culture that doesn't fear failure. In fact, there are a good number of projects that don't make it off the ground, but the lessons learned are incorporated into the next one that turns into a huge success. This "let's try this" process is baked in to the work environment, which makes it exciting and enticing for both staff and members.
Tons more takeaways in this very candid conversation with Jennifer and Chris. Check it out and let us know your thoughts.
