AMERICA'S CREDIT UNIONS ANNOUNCES PATRICK PIERCE AS NEW BOARD OF DIRECTORS CHAIR

At America’s Credit Unions premiere event, Governmental Affairs Conference, President/CEO Jim Nussle was proud to announce Patrick Pierce, President/CEO of City & County Credit Union in St. Paul, MN, as the new Board of Directors Chair. Pierce will serve a one-year term.
 
“America’s Credit Unions has gone through an incredible transformation over the last year and our Board of Directors has been steadfast in supporting the mission of one, unified voice for credit unions,” said America’s Credit Unions President/CEO Jim Nussle. “I thank Brian Schools for his service and counsel to successfully unite the board and establish a strong vision for our organization. I know Pat Pierce will continue to guide us in the right direction to ensure the more than 140 million Americans who choose credit unions can live their best financial lives.” 
 
“I am honored to lead America’s Credit Unions Board of Directors after a monumental year of progress for our industry,” said newly-elected chair Patrick Pierce. “2025 has started fast, with the potential for significant change for our industry, and I have full faith that Jim and his team will move the needle to ensure the credit union industry continues to thrive. As this momentum builds, I look forward to working alongside credit union leaders to ensure we are all working together to advocate for the movement we are all deeply passionate about.”
 
Along with Pierce, the board members elected the following members to serve on its Executive Committee:
 

• Karin Harbin, Board Vice Chair, President/CEO of Commonwealth Credit Union
• Jim Morrell, Board Treasurer, President/CEO of Peninsula Community Federal Credit Union
• Keith Sultemeier, Board Secretary, President/CEO of Kinecta Federal Credit Union
• Brian Schools, President/CEO of Chartway Federal Credit Union, as immediate past chair will also serve on the Executive Committee

 
The full Board of Directors will have familiar faces as the organization continues to be the united voice of credit unions in Washington, D.C., and across the country.
