Applications Now Open for 2025 GWLN and WYCUP Scholarships

2024 GWLN and WYCUP Scholars

Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions (WFCU) is proud to announce the opening of applications for the 2025 Global Women’s Leadership Network (GWLN) Scholarship and the 2025 World Young Credit Union Professionals (WYCUP) Scholarship.

These prestigious programs provide transformative opportunities for credit union leaders in the global credit union movement.

GWLN Scholarship Program
As part of its mission to empower women in credit union leadership roles worldwide, GWLN offers an annual scholarship program to female professionals from the global credit union industry.

Up to five recipients will be awarded all-inclusive trips to the 2025 World Credit Union Conference (WCUC) in Stockholm, Sweden (July 14–16). This includes airfare, hotel and registration fees to attend the conference.

Scholars will participate in GWLN events, connect with supporters and Sister Society leaders, and engage with WCUC attendees. They will expand their skills through interactive sessions and networking opportunities, including the 2025 GWLN Forum and breakout sessions.

WYCUP Scholarship Program
The WYCUP Scholarship connects young professionals (aged 40 and under) to global opportunities. Recipients will choose between attending an April 2025 Sicredi Study Tour in Brazil or WCUC 2025 in Sweden. Scholarships cover travel, lodging and registration fees, providing access to exclusive events, networking opportunities and professional development activities.

The application deadline is January 31, 2025.

Both programs celebrate individuals who demonstrate leadership, innovation and a commitment to advancing the credit union movement.

Since its inception in 2009, the GWLN Scholarship has supported 104 women from 33 countries, fostering leadership, skill-building and global networking. The WYCUP Network, which originated in 2001 as a scholarship program, has awarded 117 scholarships from over 52 countries.
