Nickels, a CUSO that uses a behavioral lens to save people money on credit card debt, announced it has joined forces with Mission Federal Credit Union (Mission Fed), a leading credit union committed to supporting its members' financial health. Mission Fed will add its credit cards to CardFit, a credit card comparison site that simplifies rewards, annual fees, and interest costs into an easy to understand dollars-based comparison. Now, residents in San Diego County can more easily find lower-cost credit cards offered by a local credit union.

Through this collaboration, those living, working, and studying in San Diego County will have access to CardFit, a credit card comparison site that factors in rewards, interest costs, and annual fees to provide simple dollar-based credit card comparisons. CardFit helps users identify the most financially beneficial credit card options available based on their purchase and payment behaviors.  Whereas most of the major credit card comparison websites focus on rewards, CardFit allows consumers to focus on overall value.  Half of the cardholders in the country sometimes carry a balance on their credit cards and don’t realize that a local credit union may have a card that’s a better overall financial option.

In addition to providing another financial health resource to San Diego County, Mission Fed will use CardFit to acquire new members by showing how their credit cards compare to the most popular cards in the country.  This is another example of how Mission Fed is equipping community members with the knowledge and tools necessary to make informed financial decisions and achieve long-term financial success.

Joseph Gracia, Founder and CEO of Nickels stated, "We are excited to bring CardFit to Mission Fed and San Diego County. Credit unions play a crucial role in supporting their communities, and this collaboration reflects our shared commitment to financial wellness and spreading the credit union movement to more community members."

Vince Nowicki, Chief Lending Officer at Mission Fed added, "Our collaboration with Nickels underscores our dedication to our members' financial well-being. By introducing CardFit, we are offering our members the best possible solutions to manage their credit cards effectively and achieve greater financial stability. This partnership is a testament to our commitment to providing valuable and transparent resources that truly make a difference in our members' lives."
