Synergent® has entered into a ten-year hosted Jack Henry™ Symitar® core processing renewal agreement with Community Credit Union. The agreement also includes five-year agreements for integrated debit card services, digital banking, mobile deposit capture, check processing, statement processing, and laser check printing.

As one of Maine’s few Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), Community Credit Union works to expand access to responsible financial services across the central part of the state. Aligning core processing and key services with one provider helps ensure reliable day-to-day operations while allowing the credit union’s team to stay focused on serving members and supporting its communities.

“Our mission is to provide financial services that support stability for the members and communities we serve,” said Jennifer Hogan, President and CEO of Community Credit Union. “Renewing our partnership with Synergent helps us maintain dependable systems while continuing to expand lending programs that support transportation, housing stability, and economic opportunity across our community.”

Community Credit Union has received federal CDFI grant funding to support community lending programs that assist with reliable transportation, rental security deposits, emergency expenses, career advancement, and credit building. The credit union also supports affordable housing initiatives, including its declining balance co-ownership program—a Shariah-compliant home financing option—along with financial education programs that help strengthen economic opportunity for individuals and families across the communities it serves.

“Community Credit Union plays an important role in expanding financial opportunity across central Maine,” said Tyler Hudson, President of Synergent. “Their work as a CDFI reflects a deep commitment to helping individuals and families build stronger financial futures. We value the trust they’ve placed in Synergent and look forward to continuing to support their team with dependable technology and service.”

Headquartered in Lewiston, Maine, Community Credit Union has 13,601 members and holds over $116 million in assets. Its field of membership is open to individuals who live, work, worship or go to school in Androscoggin, Franklin, Kennebec, or Oxford County, as well as immediate family members of current members.
