DESERT FINANCIAL CREDIT UNION GIVES $16M IN BONUSES TO MEMBERS

​Desert Financial Credit Union will distribute $16 million in Member Giveback Bonuses later this month, bringing the total to $106 million awarded over the past eight years.
 
The annual cashback reward is one of the many ways Desert Financial rewards its members for doing more of their banking with the credit union.
 
“The giveback bonus is just one of many perks for Arizonans who bank with Desert Financial,” said Desert Financial President and CEO Jeff Meshey. “We are committed to giving back to our members in ways that will make a difference in the daily lives, and we feel that cash back in their pockets is one of the best ways to do that.“
 
Desert Financial members are automatically enrolled in the free Relationship Rewards Program, through which they earn points for participating in various banking activities, including direct deposits of more than $500 per month, acquiring a loan and more.
 
The more points earned, the higher the annual Member Giveback Bonus. This year, qualifying members will receive an average giveback bonus of $93.
 
In addition to giving back to its members, Desert Financial and its employees are dedicated to investing in the community to make Arizona a great place to live, work and raise a family. In 2024, Desert Financial gave back through volunteerism and by providing scholarships and grants for local non-profits. For example:  
 

• Desert Financial gave over $5.2 million to the community through corporate, foundation and employee giving.
• Desert Financial Foundation impacted 644 students through scholarships, providing a total of $377,500 in scholarship funds.
• Team members performed 11,982 Random Acts of Kindness throughout Arizona.
• Team members volunteered for 16,277 hours, providing $522,003 in value to nonprofits.
