Synergent® is proud to announce a new partnership with Greater Eastern Credit Union, which has signed a ten-year agreement for hosted Jack Henry™ Symitar® core processing. The credit union has also entered into five-year agreements for a suite of integrated services, including digital banking, mobile deposit capture, check processing, statement processing, and check printing.

For Greater Eastern Credit Union, the focus is on ensuring its members benefit from a seamless, secure, and modern banking experience.

“Greater Eastern Credit Union is committed to delivering a greater experience for our members,” said Samantha Cantrell, President and CEO of Greater Eastern Credit Union. “Transitioning to Synergent marks an exciting new chapter, allowing us to streamline processes and offer more robust features our members will truly notice and appreciate. We look forward to enhancing every interaction and continuing to elevate the experience our members receive.”

Through this partnership, Greater Eastern Credit Union gains a fully integrated technology foundation that will streamline operations and strengthen service delivery. Working closely with Synergent’s team of credit union technology experts, the credit union will have access to a comprehensive, hosted environment designed to enhance efficiency, improve connectivity, and support future growth—all while allowing their staff to focus on member relationships. With technology and operations aligned for long-term success, Greater Eastern Credit Union is well-positioned to continue delivering exceptional service to its members for years to come.

“Greater Eastern Credit Union’s focus on future-ready technology and exceptional service reflects the same values we hold at Synergent,” said Tyler Hudson, President of Synergent. “Greater Eastern has always placed its community and members at the heart of every decision. From the earliest days serving employees of the Mountain Home VA Medical Center to expanding membership to surrounding counties, their roots are local, and their focus remains on delivering real value for those they serve. Their selection of Synergent reinforces their intention not just to keep up with technology, but to use it as a tool to deepen connection and service within their communities. We’re honored to partner with their team to deliver solutions that align technology with purpose, helping them continue to innovate and serve their members with confidence.”

Headquartered in Johnson City, Tennessee, Greater Eastern Credit Union has 3,994 members and holds over $55 million in assets. Its field of membership is open to individuals who live, work, or attend school in Washington, Carter, or Unicoi County; are currently employed or retired from a government employer and live or work in Greene and/or Sullivan County; or are an immediate family member of a current Greater Eastern Credit Union member.
