Samantha Beeler The League System joined together last week to collaborate on proactive, aligned state and federal advocacy strategies for the remainder of 2025 and beginning of 2026 at the second annual AACUL (American Association of Credit Union Leagues) Advocacy Strategy Summit. “The strong turnout and active participation were a powerful reflection of our shared commitment to strategic alignment and collective progress across the League system,” shared AACUL Director of Advocacy Austin De Bey. “The time, insights, and dedication to advancing advocacy across the system - from the over 80 League attendees as well as America’s Credit Unions and TruStage staff – were greatly appreciated and critical to our continued progress.” League attendees brought energy, insight, and a collaborative mindset which made the event a clear success. “The reason this summit is so powerful is that our time together goes well beyond conversation and conjecture. The trust we have in each other and in the League System allows for thought-provoking, frank, and productive conversation,” shared Samantha A.M. Beeler, AACUL Advocacy Committee Chair and president of The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates. “We came away with several concrete next steps and action items that support our common goal – a thriving credit union industry.” Several key themes emerged throughout the day, including ensuring future-relevance for credit unions, preparing for emerging issues, maintaining coordinated, consistent messaging and the importance of continuing to unify around shared goals.
