Member Driven Technologies (MDT), a CUSO that hosts the Symitar core processing system from Jack Henry™ to provide a private cloud alternative for core processing and IT needs, hosted its seventh annual CEO Forum in San Diego, California last month.

The event brought together over 20 credit union CEOs, including seven first timers, alongside MDT and Jack Henry executives to explore strategically important industry trends, business challenges and timely opportunities. In this unique forum, MDT and Jack Henry facilitated peer discussions around topics prioritized by the CEOs, evaluating each theme through the lenses of people, processes and technology.

Michele Makley, CEO and President of PFCU, attended her second CEO Forum this year. She explained, “Our nearly 15-year partnership with MDT continues to deliver exceptional value, particularly through initiatives like the CEO Forum. This event offers a rare blend of networking and insights, allowing us to engage with relevant industry topics that directly impact our strategic direction. The ability to shape the discussion and gain relevant insights is invaluable as we plan for our future.”

The event was moderated by Lee Wetherington, senior director of corporate strategy at Jack Henry, and Nicole Harper, director of corporate strategy at Jack Henry. Key themes explored this year included data strategy, AI strategy, fraud and security, digital service and engagement, payments, deposits, lending, as well as several of the top strategic priorities outlined in Jack Henry's 2024 Strategy Benchmark.

“At MDT, we remain committed being a true partner to our credit unions, helping them navigate the often complex topics, themes and factors that are reshaping the financial services landscape as we know it,” said Larry Nichols, president and CEO of MDT. “Hosting this event allows us to closely connect with our CEOs, listen to their challenges and top priorities, and ensure their feedback directly guides our technology roadmap and strategic direction. Each year we walk away from this one-of-a-kind gathering energized by the collaboration and proud to support such a strong, sharp credit union community.”
