Sunwest Credit Union, Tyfone Partner to Deploy Advanced Digital Transformation Strategy with nFinia® Platform

​Digital banking provider, Tyfone, today announced a strategic partnership with Phoenix-based Sunwest Credit Union ($583.4 million in assets and 47,000 members) to transform the credit union’s digital member experience, provide more engaging, personalized services, drive future growth and generate operational efficiencies across the entire institution. The credit union will deploy Tyfone’s full suite of services, including nFinia® Digital Banking platform, instant payments, youth banking and Skip-A-Pay solutions.

Sunwest Credit Union’s progressive vision required a technology partner that could match their ambitious digital transformation goals with equally advanced capabilities. After an extensive review and evaluation period, Tyfone was selected.

nFinia will provide Sunwest members with an integrated, omnichannel experience across mobile and online banking – addressing a key pain point where members currently encounter inconsistent functionality between channels. Penni, an AI-powered financial assistant, will help members analyze spending patterns, identify saving opportunities and take control of their financial wellness.

Sunwest's implementation includes several key Tyfone solutions:
  • nFinia Digital Banking Platform: Delivers seamless retail banking functionality with consistent user experience across all digital channels, enabling members to self-service routine transactions and access real-time account information.
  • Instant Payments: Replaces the limited payment options with robust functionality that could  change traditional bill pay and wire services, offering members fast, secure payment capabilities.
  • Youth Banking Solutions: Transforms the Pounce youth program (ages 0-12) from manual, branch-based processes to engaging digital experiences, enabling gamification, goal-based rewards, and enhanced parent-child financial education opportunities.
  • Skip-A-Pay Automation: Converts the successful annual Skip-A-Pay campaign from being entirely manual to an automated solution. 
  • Tyfone's automated wire processing and enhanced security features will streamline operations, while improving member convenience.
