Telhio Credit Union Partners with Hockey & Hounds, Aids in Adoptionof 20 Dogs Across Central Ohio

Telhio Credit Union leveraged its community presence through a unique partnership with The Fan 97.1 FM, featuring a special segment in support of animal rescue and adoption efforts for humane shelters in central Ohio. Hockey & Hounds, which launched in 2016, is hosted by founder and 97.1 FM sports radio personality Anthony Rothman and showcases adoptable dogs.

The weekly segment airs Wednesdays on Rothman & Ice, during the Columbus Blue Jackets’ (CBJ) regular season. Listeners tune in for exclusive hockey coverage, including special access to CBJ players, Zach Werenski and Damon Severson. Duringeach show, Rothman features an adoptable dog at a local shelter orrescue. Twenty dogs featured thisseason have been adopted and are now in loving homes.

This season, in their ninth year of support, Telhio Credit Union donated $7,280 to Hockey & Hounds. The funds will be used to assist Ohio adoptable animals. The donation was recently commemorated with the presentation of a check to Werenski, Severson and Rothman, by Telhio’s Vice President of Marketing, Nick Biratsis.

Hockey & Hounds, sponsored by Telhio Credit Union, has inspired countless central Ohioans to support pet adoptions, community volunteering, and charitable efforts since its inception nearly a decade ago. They also maintain their own public merchandise line through local sportswear company, Where I’m From, with 100% of proceeds of Hockey & Hounds apparel sales invested in Ohio and Philadelphia animal shelters and rescues.
