Texas Trust Credit Union Earns Mastercard Community Award

​Texas Trust Credit Union is the recipient of the Doing Well by Doing Good award from Mastercard. The award honored the credit union for its Fueling Kindness campaign, which benefited consumers in its local community.
 
In this act of kindness, Texas Trust partnered with a local gas station to cover the cost of fuel for dozens of patrons. Executives and employees of the credit union were at the gas station to greet customers, pump their gas, and pick up the tab.
 
The Mastercard Doing Well by Doing Good award recognizes financial institutions that make a meaningful impact every day in their local communities.
 
“This award celebrates Texas Trust’s unwavering commitment to supporting its community through initiatives that uplift those in need,” according to Paul Tobin of Mastercard’s Community Institutions Division. “Texas Trust’s dedication to giving back exemplifies what it means to ‘Do Well by Doing Good’.”
 
Toni Nichols, Assistant Vice President of Public Relations at Texas Trust, noted that “By fueling kindness we were able to make emotional connections with people in our community. For many this deed enabled families to better afford groceries that week. For others, it was a reminder that kindness still exists in the world.
