Valley First Credit Union, a $1.02 billion, member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative providing quality financial services to 80,000 members in growing and diverse communities, is pleased to announce that Valley First Credit Union (Valley First) is rolling out a custom ice cream truck that will appear in downtown Modesto’s Independence Day Parade. In order to show appreciation to the communities that they serve, Valley First will be giving out 2,500 complementary popsicles.

Valley First Credit Union, where financial well-being meets community empowerment, is a partner dedicated to helping everyone achieve financial freedom. Valley First is proud to make good and sweet things happen with the debut of its new ice cream truck in the holiday parade. Since 1874, the city of Modesto has celebrated the fourth of July with a parade through downtown. The Independence Day Parade will kick off on the fourth of July at 9:30 a.m. as Modesto celebrates their 151st annual Fourth of July celebration.

In addition to the parade, Valley First will celebrate Member Appreciation Day on July 26th by hosting an event at its downtown Modesto J Street branch providing ice cream and family fun. Valley First will offer financial education workshops and seminars with topics ranging from budgeting, saving and investing to specific needs of the credit union’s community.

“At Valley First Credit Union, our members are at the heart of everything we do,” said Kathryn Davis, CEO and President. “We are deeply committed to serving our community and showing our appreciation for their continued support. By providing financial education and giving back, we are able to help our members achieve their financial goals. We look forward to celebrating with everyone and making sweet things happen in 2024 and beyond.”
