Chuck Fagan Velera – formerly PSCU/Co-op Solutions, the nation’s premier payments credit union service organization (CUSO) and an integrated financial technology solutions provider – today announced the winning hospitals of the Miracle Momentum Awards. Introduced in October 2024 as a part of Velera’s longstanding partnership with CU4Kids, the program called on credit unions throughout the country to nominate their local Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) hospital to receive a $10,000 donation. Velera received nearly 500 nominations from over 225 credit unions for nearly 70 hospitals. This year’s winning hospitals, located across 18 states are:
“After launching Velera’s Miracle Momentum Awards just two months ago, we were overjoyed by the overwhelming response and positive feedback we received for this new program,” said Velera CEO and President Chuck Fagan. “It is an absolute honor, together with our credit unions and CU4Kids, to recognize and provide support to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across the U.S. this holiday season. We congratulate all of the winners and appreciate the critical care that all Children’s Miracle Network hospitals provide in our communities throughout the country.” Velera’s Miracle Momentum Awards program carries on the company’s proud, productive history of support for CU4Kids and CMN Hospitals, from serving as a lead sponsor of the Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run for more than 20 years to most recently serving as a presenting sponsor of the second annual In The Cellar event, which raised more than $1.1 million for CMN Hospitals. The Miracle Momentum Awards are an extension of the Miracle Match program, a philanthropic program introduced by Co-op Solutions (now Velera) that encouraged credit unions, leagues and chapters to create and participate in fundraisers for their local CMN Hospitals. Much like the credit union industry, CMN Hospitals models a people-centric structure by raising funds to provide member hospitals what they need most, including critical life-saving treatments and healthcare services, innovative research, vital pediatric medical equipment and more. Credit Unions for Kids (CU4Kids), a program benefiting CMN Hospitals, has raised over $200 million since its inception in 1996. The program has enabled 150 children’s hospitals throughout the United States to provide advanced care, equipment and research to more than 12 million children each year.
