ViClarity Welcomes Software Founder & Longtime European CEO as New Global CEO

John “Ogie” Sheehy

Governance, risk and compliance (GRC) technology firm ViClarity is pleased to announce the appointment of John “Ogie” Sheehy as its Global CEO. This leadership transition comes after Sheehy has served as Global CIO and CEO of ViClarity’s European business for the last 4 years. He has led ViClarity’s office in Ireland since 2008, when he originally founded the company, and he has successfully directed client relationships in international markets, including the U.K., Canada and Australia.

With a degree in Applied Physics and Electronics from the Institute of Technology Tralee, Sheehy has a strong passion for technology. After more than 16 years working for companies such as Hewlett Packard, IBM and Dell, he was inspired to create ViClarity's GRC management software platform to provide technology solutions to regulated businesses that were not being serviced by the large technology companies.

In addition to his work with ViClarity, Sheehy has served on numerous boards and committees, including the Tech Industry Alliance (TIA), which was set up to promote technology development in the South West region of Ireland. He is dedicated to fostering innovation and developing leading-edge technology to help financial and healthcare organizations better manage their regulatory obligations. This passion has led to global growth and expansion of ViClarity, which now brings value to clients all over the world.

Sheehy, Williams and the ViClarity board are actively recruiting and interviewing candidates for a U.S. Market President role to lead the execution and direction of the company’s strategic plan in the United States, as part of the global executive team.
