Mitchell, Stankovic & Associates' CEO Susan Mitchell joined us in the Studio Lounge during our coverage of the Underground Collision Money 20/20 event in Las Vegas to share the significance of the Underground events that take place three or four times during the year.

In particular, Sue, who created this event series, talked about the importance of this event that occurs the weekend prior to Money 20/20 kicking off in Las Vegas, as well. One of her goals is to get credit unions fired up to attend Money 20/20 to experience the latest trends in fintech in which credit unions immerse themselves. Seriously, we need more credit unions attending Money 20/20.

In addition, she detailed some of the topics that were addressed at this year's two-day Underground gathering, lining up a "who's who" speaker list of industry icons. Some of the topics included:

• the good, the bad, and the necessity of fintechs
• next generation board members
• realities of diversity
• human and digital intersectionality
• sports betting, cannabis, and crypto -- and credit unions' role in each
• what credit unions will look like in 2030
