PSCU Chief Marketing Officer Tom Pierce and Advisors Plus Vice President Norm Patrick joined us on the show to share findings from the 2023 PSCU Eye on Payments study -- their 6th one since 2018.

Tom and Norm shared some of the key findings in the study -- some of which include:

mobile usage
debit usage
card vs. digital (demographics)
BNPL increase
crypto comeback
Apple card (despite the latest Goldman Sachs news)

They also revealed some new findings in this year’s study that were surprising -- one of which is the significance of card design with the younger generations. I guess the lesson here is make that plastic look good!

To wrap up, Tom and Norm named some of the key takeaways from this year’s study that credit unions can leverage to better serve their members in 2024.
