Visit: www.wescom.org www.wescomresources.com It's already widely known throughout the industry that NAFCU's President/CEO Fred Becker is stepping down after 13 years at the helm. So we invited Fred on the show to find out the why, when, and what's he going to do now? As usual, Fred provided us with his candid responses that surely entertain and certainly inform. We also discussed his top three moments as leader of NAFCU, along with how the organization has changed under his tenure and how credit unions have evolved over the years. We finished up our talk with how he will continue to be an advocate for credit unions after he steps down in July 2013. Many thanks to Fred for being on the show and of course his stellar service to credit unions over the years. Enjoy the show everybody.
Visit: nafcu.org Always a pleasure having NCUA Chair Debbie Matz on the program. Debbie returns to CUbroadcast this time around to reflect on how credit unions fared in 2012. But we soon put the past behind us and focused on a number of issues credit unions will be facing in 2013, as well as a few NCUA tasks on the docket: lawsuits, MBL, tax exemption, Gigi Hyland replacement, etc. We also discuss Debbie's upcoming Town Hall Webinar on February 5 (3 p.m. EST) with CFPB's Director Richard Cordray and some of the topics that will be addressed during that highly anticipated event. It's free, so sign up to participate. We also touched on many other items of industry interest in our discussion, so take a few minutes and enjoy the show.
Visit: www.ncua.gov Town Hall Webinar with CFPB's Richard Cordray Every year about this time Executive Compensation Solutions delivers its Employee and Executive Compensation and Benefits for the Credit Union Movement or The Survey. This year marks the company's 9th survey displaying such data as credit union CEOs' base pay increased an average of 6.62 this past year, credit union CEO vs. bank CEO salaries, highest CUSO position base salary & variable pay, and much more. This more than 200-page document is loaded with this type of information -- and best of all, it's free. To find out more, we invited ECS Director of Operations Adam Zelinsky back on the show. As usual Adam breaks down the numbers and provides an excellent analysis of their discoveries. In addition, for every credit union that participated in this year's Survey, ECS donated $10 toCredit Unions for Kids. As a result of participating credit unions, ECS donated nearly $3,000 to the charity organization. It's compelling news all around when it comes to this document, so take a few minutes and enjoy the show.
