Discover Origence's frictionless technology for today's lenders.
Global fintech expert and influencer Chris Skinner joined us on the show to highlight his new book "Digital for Good." The main theme for the book is how can we use finance to do good for society and the planet -- which echos the credit union mission of "people helping people" and taking it a step further with "people helping the planet," as well.

This book, however, is a bit different from Chris's previous writings. It's not an opinion piece; it's a series of interviews and co-written chapters from other leading financial authorities worldwide. He discussed why he ventured down this collaborative route and how he thinks the readers will benefit.

Chris also expanded on the book's mission: "If your business doesn’t stand for something, it will fall down." This led to Chris explaining how purpose can impact a bank’s role in the climate emergency, for example. It got down to the purpose of banking -- is it just to handle people's finances or can it be something with much more meaning?

He also outlined how we can use finance to do good for society and the planet, using sustainable economy through sustainable finance, as another example.  He cited China planting trees via Ant Forest.

Lastly, he addressed the latest developments in cryptocurrencies and its role in doing good for society and the planet.

Check it out and let us know your thoughts -- as well as Chris's blog TheFinanser.com. And be sure to watch the entire episode below for all the details. A wonderful conversation that will hit home with credit unions, indeed.
