Securityplus Federal Credit Union’s CFO Bill Kennedy joined us on the show to share his message regarding the critical need for young professionals not only as paid credit union staff but occupying seats on credit union boards, as well. Bill stresses the urgency for credit unions to get younger -- both from members to staff and Boards.

Bill discusses why this critical need is so urgent today, how young professionals can position themselves to get on a credit union's Board, the necessity of young professionals on Boards, and the many benefits young professionals can gain by being on a Board -- putting them on quicker path to becoming a CEO. He gave the example of Navy Federal Credit Union's former President/CEO Cutler Dawson starting out his credit union career as a Board Member prior to his leadership position at Navy Fed.

Bill's passion for this topic is nothing short of galvanizing, as he has mentored -- and is still mentoring -- many young credit union professionals to become industry leaders to help this industry get younger professionally and remain relevant to the next generations.

Check it out and let us know your thoughts. And be sure to watch the entire conversation with Bill below for all the details.
