Fort Worth Community Credit Union and advertising firm 3rd Degree collaborated to fashion an innovative marketing campaign targeting the women members of the credit union. The collaboration created a digital spokesperson, or spokeswoman, named Gabby -- a gal who has the gift of gab providing the women of Fort Worth Community with practical financial advice. 3rd Degree's Kande Hein joins us to discuss how this idea came about, how Gabby has performed, and her future plans. Interestingly enough, Gabby has also had an impact on the men of Fort Worth Community CU, as well. Watch and enjoy the interview to find out!

Targeting Gen Y is a topic we like to revisit on this show from time to time because the demographic is so important for credit unions continued success. On today's show we chat it up with Banzai's Co-Founder Morgan Vandagriff about various strategies credit unions can use. We also talk about Banzai's new free service called "WhatsACU.com" that provides credit unions with co-branded websites loaded with financial education content targeting today's students. It also teaches students about the credit union difference -- which is mighty important. So join us as we talk with Morgan about this timely topic. Enjoy the program!
It was a pleasure having NCUA's Board Member Michael E. Fryzel on the show. He was kind enough to provide us with the latest update on the ongoing corporates issue that seems to remind us that we're not quite out of the woods yet. But there are solutions to getting us there. He also touched on the lawsuit NCUA has filed against RBS and JP Morgan, as well as the latest credit union issues that are nagging our industry today and how credit unions have fared through the corporates crises. But we close with Michael candidly discussing the bright future in store for credit unions and what we can do to stay on that path. Again, we are very appreciative to have Michael on the show. Enjoy the program!

As a vital demographic for the continued success of credit unions, we like to talk about Gen Y and student financial literacy on CUbroadcast. Saying this young target audience is "quite important" is an understatement. That said, we talk with CU*SWAG's Tailor of Conversation, Nida Ajaz, about the group's Gen Y-focused, T-shirt design contest that just concluded -- congrats to winner Josh Madore from Riverset Credit Union. Since Josh won, he gets free admission into the upcoming National Youth Involvement Board annual conference in Pittsburgh, July 25-28, 2011. In addition to the contest and NYIB show, Nida discusses what credit unions are doing right and wrong when it comes to attracting and retaining the younger demographics. Being a "tailor of conversation," Nida certainly delivers. Always good to have the hard-working CU*SWAG team represent. Check it out!
Credit scores impact everybody's lives when it comes to getting an auto loan or a home loan. We try to pay our bills on time and keep our finances in check so our credit score will be exemplary when it comes time to fill out that loan app. Well, there's a new score in town that takes data from each of the three bureaus and provides a more accurate score, which allows new opportunities for those who have "thin credit". We invitedVantageScore's CEO Barrett Burns on the show to discuss this fascinating topic that affects us all. Barrett provides us with an education on how it all works to benefit you, me, and your credit union members. He even provides us with fun and informative online credit score test to test your knowledge at creditscorequiz.org. Check it out!
