It's no secret artificial intelligence is taking over -- mostly in a good way. Most of the time AI is in the background doing its thing making life better for most of us dealing with data. For the most part, you can't really see this technology unless you're watching a science fiction movie like iRobot or something along those lines. But this will change -- and it's happening now.
Today, a company called FaceMe is providing a "step up" AI product using digital human technology to interact with customers -- especially in a customer service environment. FaceMe's digital human technology is called Mia (My Interactive Agent), and it's pretty impressive. Naturally, this type of interactive AI can be used in many industries worldwide -- including banking. So we invited FaceMe's Founder/CEO Danny Tomsett on the program for a more in-depth look at how Mia, a loan advisor, will change the way lending may be conducted from now on. Amazing stuff here for sure. Check it out and let us know your thoughts and the potential of having Mia becoming an integral part of your credit union's lending process. NOTE: We were first introduced to FaceMe's digital human technology at last year's Money 20/20 Conference in Las Vegas. Here's our interview: "FaceMe’s Nick Sokolich Introduces ‘Sophie’ Your Digital Human Teller."
Clearview Federal Credit Union CEO Ron Celaschi joined us on the show to share Clearview and Junior Achievement of Western Pennsylvania's partnership (and JA Biztown) providing area students with real-world financial experiences.
We discussed such items as:

California/Nevada Credit Union Leagues Chief Economist Dwight Johnston visited us on the program to provide us with the latest California and Nevada credit union spending and savings trends report for Q3 2018.
Overall, it's business as usual, Dwight says, as members continue taking on various types of first mortgages, home equity loans, new and used auto loans, credit cards, and personal loans. Members are also trying to save money using credit unions to transact purchases and bill pay. Even though year-over-year growth is continuing, Dwight adds that things are starting to slow down as the rumored recession looms toward the end of the year. So we wrapped up discussing the big picture for credit unions as the 2019 concludes. A compelling conversation for sure, so check it out and let us know your thoughts. #1071: The Cooperative Trust’s Lauren Culp Shares Impact of 100 Crashers ‘Crashing’ 2019 CUNA GAC…2/7/2019
The Cooperative Trust Manager Lauren Culp (leader of the renowned Crashers) joins us on the program to share the group's many activities occurring at next month's CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference in Washington, D.C.
We also discussed how she achieved the record number of Crashers "crashing" GAC this year -- a whooping 100 to celebrate the program's 10th anniversary. Then we concluded with how they keep track of former Crashers, how the program has benefited their careers (where are they now?), and a possible Crasher Reunion gathering. That said, check out this "Follow a Crasher" infographic on The Cooperative Trust's website, which follows the career paths of three former Crashers. Enjoy and let us know your thoughts. And don't forget to sit down with these young overachievers if you're attending GAC next month. Many of them could be the industry's future leaders. Pass on your knowledge, as it only makes the industry that much better. |
