Origence
CUNA's President/CEO Jim Nussle joined us to provide a quick 2022 Governmental Affairs Conference preview for folks heading to Washington, D.C., in the next week or so -- and even ones who are still on the fence about registering.

Jim shared why this year's event has financial wellness focus, as well as the theme of his opening message to attendees -- especially since this may be many folks' first time back for a large, in-person gathering in a couple of years. It's going to be a GAC unlike any other.

Jim also talked about the conference's breakout sessions, such as DEI, digital acceleration, cryptocurrency, economic update, new CFPB leader, payments strategies to name a few.

Lastly, he announced that D.C. has lifted the proof of vaccine mandate for the convention center. So for those who are concerned about that item, it is off the table. Here's a link to latest health update for the GAC.

Check it out and let us know your thoughts and we will see you there!

The Foundation’s Director of DE and Cooperative Culture Chad Helminak joined us on the show to share the big news about the National Credit Union Foundation's Development Education (DE) Program turns 40 years old this year.

Chad talked about how the Foundation will commemorate the DE program's milestone, as well as what this longevity says about this program and how it has evolved over the years. We just interviewed MWCUA's retiring CEO Scott Earl on the program (episode #2779) sharing his experience with program and being part of the very first class in 1982.

In addition, Chad addressed why the DE program has such a strong following for those who have graduated from it. You talk to anybody who has been through it and their eyes just light up -- which bodes well for the industry.

Check it out and let us know your thoughts -- and be sure to sign up for your course this year! And check out the entire episode below with Chad for all the details.
