Ok, I'm throwing all my objectivity out the window for this interview because I'm a huge fan of shared branching. That said, I couldn't wait for this interview with Credit Union Centers EVP/CFO Dan Davis. Dan obviously talks about the Credit Union Centers network, but he also provides a number of scenarios on how shared branching has helped credit unions expand their service areas without the cost of building branches. It may not be ideal for every credit union, but it works perfectly for many, many others. Seems quite timely today as we are still closely watching our budgets. I can't think of another industry where a "sharing" business model like this would work -- only in the credit union industry. Enjoy the program!

I could talk for hours with CUES President/CEO Fred Johnson on just about any topic -- and we almost did in this CUbroadcast interview. Fred has so many good stories to tell; I wish I could've posted the entire interview. In the interest of time, however, we had to do some editing and trimming. But you will get to hear his take on CUES executive schools, its Next Top Exec program, the organization's changes over the years, the current state of the industry, and much, much more. The lighting was a bit bright in this episode, but so was the conversation about Bryan traveling around the country motivating high school and college students to better understand finances so they can be on the road to success following their scholastic years. It was an inspiring talk that gives hope that all the "Gen Y" financial education organizations out there are helping shape the future of our country one student at a time.
