Last year Lone Star Credit Union celebrated its 50th anniversary of serving its members. At the same time, Corelation celebrated its 50th KeyStone core conversion to ... yes, Lone Star Credit Union. Needless to say the conversion was celebrated by both parties from different angles. But they both celebrated a very successful conversion, which has put Lone Star on the road to doing some tremendous projects for its members in the coming years.

That said, we invited Lone Star COO/CIO Becky Reed to share details of this celebration and provide some best practices for other credit unions on how to conduct a successful conversion -- a topic she presented at the Corelation Conference, as well.

Many, many takeaways in this talk with Becky, so check it out and let us know your thoughts.

SOS's Jim Stickley scares me. It's not Jim, literally; he's a super nice guy. It's the information he carries in his brain on how easily we can be hacked or breached these days by unruly folks. It makes you want to live under a rock and/or go back to the old barter system of our country's Colonial days.

Jim joined us following his energetic keynote on "Internet of Things: Your Next Security Breach." Yet again, he had the audience fearing hackers taking over their home appliances and wreaking havoc on their finances. Fortunately, he had a few solutions to put us all at ease -- a bit. But with millions and millions of "things" connected to the Internet, being hacked is becoming an increasing concern.

We addressed some of Jim's key points of his talk in our conversation. So check it out and let us know your thoughts.
