Because its previous online banking system was being "sunsetted" by the developer, SafeAmerica Credit Union needed a new solution to meet its members' needs not only now but well into the future. And most of their members reside in Silicon Valley, so good tech is, well, expected with this group.
Enter mobile banking provider Bankjoy. The upstart fintech showed the credit union its mobile solution and the folks at SafeAmerica were sold -- it was that good. Less than a year later, mobile enrollment is through the roof and still climbing -- and the credit union recently won one of CU Journal's Best Practices Awards.
To give us the inside scoop on its recent success, we invited SafeAmerica's VP of Marketing & Digital Banking (interim CIO) Steven Page. Steven tells us from beginning to end about their challenges and their achievements in this whole process of providing their tech-savvy members with technology they expect.
