Credit unions and banks seem to be forever entangled in a "Hatfield and McCoys" feud over taxation, field of membership, marketshare, etc. I've been in the industry since the mid-90s and it's never changed.
To clarify the latest round of jousting toward credit unions by the banking industry, we invited CUNA Chief Advocacy Officer Ryan Donovan on the show. Ryan provided five facts about credit unions banks don't seem to be sharing when bringing up credit unions in their discussions:
Ryan shared how important this information is for credit unions to consistently provide their congressional representatives, continuing the education of the industry's "people helping people" mantra -- especially heading into a major election year in 2020.
Another gem with Ryan you won't want to miss. Check it out and let us know your thoughts. And don't forget to register for CUNA's 2020 GAC (Feb. 23-27) to have your voice heard on Capitol Hill.
