Podcasts are literally everywhere these days. It's been said that they are replacing the written blog because of how easily they are produced, posted, and consumed these days. You can listen to your favorite episodes while exercising, cleaning your house, mowing the lawn, sprinting through an airport, shopping for groceries, walking the dog, changing a tire, etc.
You get the picture -- convenience getting information, like anything today, is the key here. On-demand podcasts fill that bill for the populace quite nicely. And credit unions, thankfully, are getting into the act, as well. I often wonder, however, how well podcasts perform for credit unions. What do credit unions want to accomplish producing and posting them? Who's their audience? What format works best? What are the goals now and long-term? To answer these questions and more, we invited Canvas Credit Union Chief People and Strategy Officer Tansley Stearns on the show to share her credit union's experience producing their new podcast, "In the Room with Todd Marksberry," hosted by Canvas President/CEO Todd Marksberry. Tansley leaves no stone unturned explaining how their podcast has benefited the credit union -- even in the short time it's been "on air." She also talks about how it educates, entertains, informs, and, yes, recruits talent from the surrounding area. Pretty versatile tool, indeed. Check it out and let us know your thoughts.
