SBA's Payment Protection Program has sparked quite a bit of debate in the financial services arena with many small businesses asking who's eligible, how does one get access to these funds, when will get my funds, will there be enough for everyone, and so on.
To provide some clarity behind this hastily-organized effort, we invited CUNA's Chief Advocacy Officer Ryan Donovan on the show. Ryan gave us with the program's latest update, who's being overwhelmed right now, will there be a second "offering" if there's not enough to go around the first time.
Ryan also addressed the debate whether eligible credit unions are allowed to apply for funds to help them cover expenses if business starts to get a bit tight in the next few weeks. Keeping the lights on and staff employed is a priority.
We also talked about some of the other efforts CUNA is doing to help credit unions better serve their members and communities during this critical time.
Check it out and let us know your thoughts.
