Other than the recent Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota, nearly every in-person event or gathering this year has been either postponed, cancelled, or pivoted to a virtual platform. Can't think of any major gathering that will occur live the rest of this year -- and the first part of 2021 looks a bit sketchy, as well.
So virtual is where it's at right now and the next organization to throw it's event into the online ring is The Foundation, which has transformed its Credit Union Development Education program (DE) from a week-long, classroom venture in Madison, WI, to a 4-week, digital experience from the comfort of your own couch and laptop.
We invited Chad Helminak, The Foundation Director of DE & Cooperative Culture, on the show to share how this popular program will work in a virtual setting. According to Chad, this digital DE version has been in the works for many months now with the help of industry experts, as well as DE alumni providing their feedback to ensure a successful experience is still in store for participants.
