It can be the most wonderful time of the year and it can also be the scariest time of the year. No, we''re not doing Halloween all over again. We're talking about the holiday shopping season -- and it's already upon us.
The holiday season may look a little different this year, but consumers are still shopping online more than ever and many retail outlets will be open for in-person shopping, as well. That's the good news. The bad news is ... it this means more opportunities for those bad actors (a.k.a. fraudsters) to steal your identity and/or money.
To share with us what's on the bad actors' holiday shopping this this year is Allied Solutions Vice President of Risk, Experience, and Credentials Ann Davidson. Ann discusses some of the fraudulent activities to look out for this holiday season -- and how credit unions can play a role in protecting members from being victims.
Ann also details some of the fraudsters' holiday wishlist items:
Daily dollar limits
Phishing for employees’ info
Ann also invites you to attend Allied Solutions Let's Talk Fraud: A Webinar Series, which is the third Wednesday of each month from 2:00-3:00P (EST). Next is this Wednesday, November 18, where Ann and her team will discuss many of these items in great detail.
Tons of takeaways in this conversation with Ann. Check it out and let us know your thoughts. And if you'd like to see the entire interview, check it out below.
