Even during a pandemic there are still awards to be won in credit union land -- and NAFCU Services Innovation Awards lived on in a big way this year. On the program we have one of this year's winners: FIS for its Digital Issuance service, which answers the need for credit unions to deliver faster service with new card accounts. FIS' Digital Issuance accelerates the process.
FIS Division Executive, Credit Union Division Bill Hampton joined us on the program to share his thoughts on the win, as well as how Digital Issuance empowers credit union members to upload payment card accounts quickly and easily into a digital wallet. This immediate uploading negates the wait time for a plastic card to arrive in the mail, accelerating usage, increasing interest and non-interest income, and boosting loyalty.
Bill also talks about how this lower-cost option leverages a single account number (for both digital and physical cards), allowing for restrictions of use for instances where a physical card is necessary, and requires no additional investment to implement. He shares examples and anecdotes on how it has benefitted credit unions this year.
Check it out and let us know your thoughts.
