You may recall we interviewed George Hofheimer last month (episode #2413) about his "Debt Cycle Across the U.S." to help end the vicious debt cycle across the U.S. by eliminating $1.5 million in medical debt. To date, George has raised more than $26,700 in less than 30 days, surpassing his goal long ago. But he is still accepting donations during his ride -- which brings us back to the start.
George embarked on his two-month, cross-country trek this morning (March 4, 2021) on the shores of the Pacific (San Diego, CA), where he dipped his back tire in the ocean to commence his 2,400-mile ride heading east to St. Augustine, FL. Once there, he'll dip his front tire in the Atlantic to conclude his worthy adventure.
We were there to see him off and conduct a very brief interview with a few scenic shots of the beach and his two-wheel rig. We gave him a couple of Twinkies for the road and off he went into the sunrise.
Enjoy our quick chat with George and don't forget to donate. You can follow him on his nationwide journey via his Instagram page and if you'd like to contribute to his ride and the bigger cause of personal medical debt in America on his Debt Cycle Across the U.S. page.
