WebStrategies CEO Chris Leone and Director of Digital Marketing Brandon Frey joined us on the show to share results from their recent survey: "The Consumer Banking Preferences & Behavior Report." In this report, Chris and Brandon surveyed 1,000 consumers to better understand their banking preferences, behaviors, and value drivers that will ultimately help credit unions attract and retain more members based on their evolving needs.
In this multi-part interview, Chris explains why they conducted this survey, who they talked to, what they hoped to accomplish, and the unique way they garnered this information.
Brandon joined in with one of the first survey questions as an example: Which types of FIs are people customers of — based on age? Their finding was quite sobering for traditional financial institutions, revealing that 61% of consumers under the age of 45 use online only banks.
Again, a wake up call seeing how far these types of FIs have progressed in recent years.
