#331: Navy Federal Paves the Payments Way with Apple Pay Launch, Navy Federal's Meghan Gound explains...
When a new piece of financial services technology launches, credit unions are notorious for waiting a bit until it's proven -- and then they're usually all in to adopt. Well, a new piece of payments technology was recently announced by a little company called Apple. Ok, I'm being slightly dry here. We all know Apple released Apple Pay and it's made headlines ever since. So where do credit unions fit in?
Well, quite prominently if you've read all the industry publications. In fact one credit union, Navy Federal Credit Union, recently launched the payments system a few weeks ago -- and many more are on the launch pad.
We invited Navy Federal's Assistant Vice President of eChannels Meghan Gound on the show to find out why Navy was the first to leap off the 10-meter platform and into the deep end of payments with Apple Pay. In addition, we discuss how their launch fared, what advice she has for other credit unions considering the leap, and much, much more. So if you're interested in being on the forefront of payments with Apple Pay, then this is the show for you.
