As promised, here is part 2 of our lively chat with The Foundation's Executive Director Gigi Hyland on the organization's 35th anniversary. In this discussion we cover some of its most significant events/efforts/campaigns that have benefited the credit union industry. Relief efforts such as the Oklahoma City Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building bombing in 1995, Hurricane Katrina in 2005, the launching of CUAid.coop in 2006, etc. We also looked at The Foundation's support of BizKid$, CU4Reality, Financial Fitness Day, and more.
We didn't just look back in this talk, we also looked forward, as Gigi discussed what's on the horizon for The Foundation. Some pretty impressive items on the docket, I must say. And I asked Gigi how credit unions and vendors can help support The Foundation's great work and she said ... donate today!
