Ever since the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau (CFPB) has opened its doors for "business," it's always been at the center of some sort of issue, trend, or dare I say it -- controversy. So if you like media attention, that's the bureau to work for.
That said, we invited PolicyWorks' Vice President of Regulatory Compliance Cindy Williams on the show to discuss one the recent stories on how the CFPB is changing its tune on vendor responsibility -- ensuring everybody is compliant. Cindy, who disclosed that she always enjoys talking about the CFPB, shared her thoughts on such items as why this development is so important today, why TImberland FCU employees had to use a typewriter (whatever that is) for compliancy reasons, more than 550 enforcement actions in 2015 (what does this tell us?), solutions, and what we can expect in 2016.
Enjoy and let us know your thoughts.
