PSCU Senior Vice President Dean Young, freshly evacuated from his home in Tamp, Florida, to Washington, D.C., spent a few minutes with us to provide an update on Hurricane Irma's impact on Florida credit unions. Dean is also a native of Florida and has experienced many hurricanes large and small but admitted never to have experienced anything like Irma and Harvey -- two major storms back to back.
Dean was kind enough to come on the show over the weekend and provide his first-hand account of what has transpired in the Tampa area. He also discussed PSCU's preparedness for their clients -- in addition to the CUSO's partnership with CO-OP Financial Services and CUNA supporting the relief efforts of both Harvey and now Irma.
A very sobering conversation with Dean and we all send our thoughts and prayers for those in Florida experiencing this catastrophic situation. Please go to CUAid.coop to participate in their continued relief efforts.
