Filene Research Institute Creative Content + Media Manager Holly Fearing outlines the three main strategies credit unions need to use for social media success. We also touched on how prevalent social media has become before, during, and after catastrophic events such as Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. Networks like Facebook and Twitter were -- and still are -- instrumental in delivering vital information to those affected by those storms, as well as concerned loved ones living in other parts of the country. (Wall Street Journal just ran a story on this, as well.)
We also discussed what credit unions are doing well and where they need improvement to up their social media game. In addition, Holly pointed out the current networks that are most effective for credit unions these days.
A really cool talk with Holly on how ingrained social media is now, not only in our personal lives but in our financial affairs, as well. Check it out and let us know your thoughts and how you are leveraging social media to effectively and efficiently deliver your messages.
