Many retail website already offer personalization, such as Amazon, Staples, Home Depot, etc. There's a bunch of them out there that are catering to consumers' needs based on their previous purchases and traffic patterns.
But this trend has yet to hit credit unions, according to Derik. Very few credit unions are venturing down this road, but he sees that changing very soon, as they will leverage member data to allow their websites to personalize their visits.
