Andy Janning has written a book. That statement may not mean much to you, but it should. You see, Andy has an extensive credit union background, working at FORUM Credit Union for nearly 14 years as AVP of Training and Quality and then as Vice President of Organizational Development.

After his tenure at FORUM, Andy started his own firm NO NET Solutions where he serves various industries (including credit unions) as a videographer, photographer (he's been featured in National Geographic), consultant, and one of the best keynote speakers I've ever seen. The dude puts nothing less than 110% into anything he does and excels as a result.

That said, we're here to discuss Andy's new book: Heroes, Villains, and Drunk Old Men: A Love Story for Real Life, which is filled with poignant stories, practical advice, and powerful photographs. It shares the best of everything he has learned in the past 25 years about how to bring out the best in people and stop being the villain in their own lives. If you know Andy, this is one of the amazing traits he possesses. And credit unions have played a huge part in shaping him to who he is today.

Andy's book uses pop culture references (relatable examples from movies and TV) and how those stories can help real people -- especially the mentor/student relationship. In addition, he poses "8 Questions for Every Hero" and shares a few of those gems in our conversation.

So enough of my rambling, check out the interview and let us know your thoughts. Really stoked to see one of our industry's own exceeding in so many facets of life. Well done my bearded friend.

A bonus message from Mr. Janning:  You'll get three FREE E-Books.

To thank you for ordering a copy of Heroes, Villains, and Drunk Old Men: A Love Story for Real Life, you'll receive three FREE e-books (a value of over $20). Here's how to claim them:

  • Email a copy of the receipt to [email protected].

  • 8 QUESTIONS FOR EVERY HERO: Built around one of the central concepts of Heroes, this unique 42-page journal will help you document every stage of your journey of self-improvement, and
  • BEHIND THE SHOTS: The rich and meaningful stories that inspired the photographs featured in Heroes.
