NBA basketball star Kobe Bryant recently finished his career like few or any of us could possibly do. (FYI: He scored 60 points in his final game as a pro.) Kobe's "finish" is already becoming a popular metaphor for people who want to finish strong -- which brings me to CO-OP Financial Services retiring CEO Stan Hollen. Stan is certainly finishing his incredible career strong, hosting his final THiNK Conference in San Diego at the equally iconic Hotel Del Coronado.
For the record, this year's THiNK will have the industry buzzing for quite some time with its, once again, all-star line up of speakers and its theme of empathy, executing on ideas, having purpose, and truly expressing credit unions' deeper meaning to consumers and their communities -- a.k.a. really living out our "people helping people" mission.
That said, Stan joined us in the Studio Lounge to discuss not only his career, but how THiNK has grown and impacted the industry, how he has impacted the industry (he's mentored many of today's credit union CEOs, see CU Times' "6 Degrees of Stan Hollen's Leadership Legacy"), the state of credit unions today, and much more. So take a few minutes and enjoy our candid chat and let us know what you ... think.
